Anna Nicole Smith was born Vicki Lynn Hogan November 28, 1967, in Mexia, Texas. After her father had abandoned her and her mother when she was a child, she was raised by her mother and aunt, commuting back and forth to each caretaker.

At the age of 17, Anna (then Vicki) married Billy Smith, and that same year, they welcomed their son Daniel into the world. Time with Billy was short-lived, as young Anna, now a mother, headed to Houston to turn over a new leaf.

This native Texan sure knows how to make a name for herself, in both good and maybe not so good ways! Anna Nicole sprung to fame in 1992 as the poster girl for numerous GUESS jeans advertisements. Known for her rather large chest, to be blunt, Anna Nicole posed for Playboy in 1993 and was named Playmate of the Year, a title that is a virtual lock to make a girl a star.

She later caused immense controversey by marrying millionaire J. Howard Marshall who was in his twilight years to say the least. Unfortunately, this is what her name has become most associated with. But beyond that, she has done countless television interviews as well as appeared in movies, most notably Naked Gun 33 1/3.
