Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on December 19th, 1972. She made her entry in New York City, to parents Tom and Lin.
It wasn't very long until Alyssa was cast as Samantha, in the hit comedy "Who's The Boss?" and she stuck with the show throughout its run, ending with Sam married and off to live a new life. Alyssa, as her character had, was looking to start anew as well. She turned to pop music, releasing a few albums that had lackluster success in America, but faired quite well in Japan and Europe.
Soon realizing that acting was her true passion, Alyssa returned. She looked to film, but didn't have huge success. "Embrace of the Vampire" and "Poison Ivy 2" were considered soft porn in some sectors.
With the lack of success Alyssa was having in film, she decided to give television another shot. Her role on Melrose Place again thrust her into the public eye and sent her career rebounding. She was with the show for two seasons, before being named as an early replacement in the cast of Charmed (costarring Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty). The role on the show proved Alyssa to be in it for the long run, and she seems well on her way to comfortable success.
